“I'm still not sure. I mean it'd be nice if-" Janette started; only to be interrupted as a particularly large orc lumbered into the tent.
This resulted in a few startled screams before they each turned and saw the orc had his hand clamped over his eyes. He was soon accompanied by a female who also entered with her eyes closed.
“Uh, hello?" Janette greeted them with uncertainty.
“Hello,” the female orc placidly replied.
“Your presence has been requested in the great hall."
“Like I was just about to say: It'd be nice if we could be interrupted from getting changed by two orcs demanding an encore." Janette rolled her eyes and Let out an annoyed huff.
“We aren't allowed in the great hall." Talina pointed out the age-old anti-human rule that also apparently applied to cat-people.
“An exception has been made,“ the big male orc explained.
“After your dance tonight, a number of our elder warriors have decided to extend the time that Grolfir granted your show until dawn tomorrow. It is a great honour to-"
"Yeah, yeah," Talina interrupted him dismissively, much to Janette's horror.
“Everything's an honour when you guys want someone to do something. I think it'd be a great honour to wash the elders’ boots if the elder happened to spend his day trudging through a mud pit. I do not serve the elder council. I serve my master, Gregory. What does he have to say on the matter?"
The orc male rather humorously turned to look at the female beside him without taking his hand from in front of his eyes. He responded to his question with a great big "Um...?" that finished with him clearing his throat loudly when he realised how stupid he sounded.
"I think in their excitement to see you all again, certain formalities were overlooked," the female admitted in a long-suffering tone.
“Well that is something of an insult to the honour," Talina stressed the word whilst turning pointedly to look at the male, “of my master.
Wouldn't you say?"
Janette picked up on where her friend was going and quickly matched her pace whilst moving to stand beside her.
“And if the elder council thinks that they can honour us around without our master's say-so then they have another thing coming.” Janette folded her arms across her bare breasts and found it oddly liberating to deliver a scolding whilst standing in the buff.
“Damn right," Lydia added.
“It was not our wish to-" The male began, only to be interrupted by his companion.
“We apologize for the unintentional insult. To make amends, the elders shall give you status for the duration of the night. None shall speak to you as human slaves on pain of a challenge from the elder warriors."
