All for the One God. They had committed unspeakable evil. All to establish the One God as the only god in the Realm.
Daniel stopped his spell. He looked at Jasmine and Amber and shook his head.
This has to end, he thought, with deep sadness.
Brian's spell engulfed them, and darkness took him.

Everything went black for a long moment. And then their world illuminated. They somehow knew they were standing in a large, empty cavern. Lichen or moss on the far walls provided a little bit of strange light, but barely enough to see by. The Light gave everything an ethereal look. The cavern was massive. Daniel looked up and couldn't see the ceiling. He heard a large volume of water running nearby.
Daniel looked at the girls standing beside him. They shared the same bewildered expression as him. Daniel had no recollection of having travelled here or why.
He looked at Amy and for a moment, he felt extreme joy at seeing her alive. That bewildered him, and he shook it off. "Uh, Amy? How'd we get here?"
Amy blinked at him. She raised a hand to her chest and looked at it.
“I was hoping you knew. Amber? Jasmine? Where are we?"
Jasmine and Amber shook their heads and looked around.
"I have no idea," muttered Jasmine.
Daniel thought hard, but his thoughts were elusive. He remembered being in a large building. Being watched. And now? His memories eluded him. "Guys, I have no memory of coming here. Or why."
The girls agreed, and they stood holding hands. The sound of running water drew them and they agreed to investigate. They walked for ten minutes, listening to the water as it grew immensely louder.
Soon they approached an underground river. It was so wide the other side could not be seen. The current was swift and torrential. The sound of the rushing water was a deep roar they could feel in their bones, and it was too loud to speak and be heard. The black wet shapes of jagged boulders jutted from the river and the river crashed and sprayed around them.
Daniel felt Jasmine tap his arm, and he looked where she pointed off in the distance upriver. Daniel squinted but could see nothing.
Jasmine made a follow me motion, and they did.
A suspension bridge materialised out of the dim light. It was a single walkway, suspended by ropes from the ceiling somewhere high above. Wooden planks, slick with mist from the raging river, were tied to ropes and provided the only crossing option they could see.
The river was far too loud, so Jasmine just grinned and pointed at the bridge. She made walking motions with two fingers of her right hand.
Daniel swept his arms around the cavern and opened his hands palm up as if to say, “what about the rest of the cavern?".
Jasmine shook her head and looked at the other girls. They pointed at the bridge.
Daniel sighed and walked to the bridge opening. It looked very sturdy this close to the bank, where the walkway was still over the cavern floor. He stepped out and tested the strength of the wooden planks by jumping up and down on them. He looked back and grinned at the looks on the girls' faces.
He turned and started out. After twenty feet, the walkway swayed and shifted under his weight. He looked back and saw the fright but determination on the girls' faces. They gave him weak smiles, and he turned and continued. The roar of the river was so loud now it hurt his ears. He held onto the guide ropes with each hand and took one step after another.
It became difficult after a while. The wooden planks were slick with the mist and spray from the river. The bridge swayed alarmingly from left to right. He looked back and saw the problem. They were walking the bridge together and taking the same steps. He turned and pantomimed them walking together and then separate. It took a few minutes, but the girls soon understood.
