“Don't mind Niles. He didn't mean anything by it. He just doesn't use his head sometimes."
Blair shook her head and replied, “It's fine, Aunt Cecelia, really
Niles didn't do anything. We just talked." She and Niles hit it off, but they would never be a couple. When they hung out, there was no attraction there, no sparks. They were just two friends.
Cecelia was relieved.
“Good to know. Get some sleep. I'll have the cook make you a nice breakfast. You're way too thin and need to eat more."
“Okay. Good night, Aunt Cecelia, Uncle Baldwin.”
When everyone had left the room and she was finally alone, Blair called
Wesley. He picked up fairly quick.
“Wesley, Niles did nothing wrong," she pleaded.
"Just Leave him alone!"
"Okay," he replied, looking at Niles, who had been tossed onto the couch. He knew his younger brother too well to believe he would cross the line with Blair. It was just that what he saw when he came in pushed him over the edge.
Blair let out a sigh of relief.
"Okay, good night. Just promise you won't hit Niles."
“Why are you so protective of him?" Wesley asked.
"I'm not. I just don't want you to beat my friend to a pulp." Wesley's fierce fists versus Niles’ delicate, smooth skin. Blair didn't think
Niles had much hope of surviving the night.
“Got it." Wesley hung up.
Niles cringed on the couch and asked in a fawning tone, “Was that my sister-in-law?"
Wesley shot him a cold look.
"Quit calling her that."
“I know I know. You don't like her, yadda yadda yadda. I've heard it before. Am I right?" Niles asked with a snort. He was fed up with his brother's denial, deciding if Wesley said yes, he'd say something.
However, Wesley walked straight into the bathroom, without saying a word.
When he walked out again, Niles was lying in bed, playing games on his phone. Seeing Wesley, he put his phone aside and told him excitedly,
“Hey, I have an idea."
“Fire away." Wesley took off the towel wrapped around his waist and was about to put on his pajamas.
