Evelyn's gaze shifted to his injured leg. Her eyebrow was raised in confusion. Then, she looked at Dollie and the underwear in her hand. A sad smirk appeared on her face.

She turned around and left decisively.

Sheffield was now sure that it was Evelina. He tried to catch up with her, but Dollie stopped him.

“Sheffield, your leg! Watch out! Where are you going? We have to go to my house after this, Sheffield. Dad and Mom are waiting for us!"

She held on tightly to Sheffield's shirt.

Dollie saw it. Sheffield met that woman's eye; he was trying to run after her. So, she had reflexively grabbed on to his clothes to make him stay with her.

Sheffield tried to jump forward on one leg. He explained, "Dollie, let go of me. I'Ll be back soon!"

Dollie was

“No! If I let you go, you will run away with that woma aware that Sheffield used to have many female companions—a different woman each day.

But ever since he had come back from Flando, he seemed to have become a different person, and he no longer contacted those women

There was no other woman in his life other than her, so she thought that she was special to him.

Sheffield tugged himself away from her grip irritably, sat back in the electric wheelchair, and rushed out after Evelyn.

But it was too Late. He could no longer find the familiar face.

He stared at the passers-by. There was no sign of her

He shouted in his heart, ‘Evelina! Is it so much fun for you to play tricks on me Like this?"

Walking out of the shop, Dollie asked in a loud voice, “Who is that woman, Sheffield?"

He looked at her, but said nothing.

Dollie was shocked by his tepid attitude towards her because she had never seen this side of him before.

In less than a minute, Sheffield took a deep breath, and returned to his normal self. He grabbed her wrist and took her inside the shop

“How many of these do you want? Get them all. I'll pay."

Startled by his sudden tenderness, she nodded and followed him.

After parting with Dollie, Sheffield returned to his apartment in a hurry. He turned on his computer and cracked into the surveillance system of the building.

He checked the camera in front of the underwear shop where he had seen

Evelyn that afternoon. She had walked into the shop he was in from another clothing store on the same floor. She had Lunch with a man on the fifth floor before going shopping. When she walked out of the restaurant, she was alone.

He zoomed in on the video and saw Calvert's face pretty clearly.
