Keeping the book in his person had proved dangerous. Since he had extremely good memory, Sheffield had hidden himself for more than a year and memorized the contents of the book. After that, he burned the book in a high profile manner, letting everybody know that the book did not exist anymore.

For this reason, the Thompson family broke all ties with him.

Sheffield's relationship with his father was bad in the first place, and now, it had gone completely south.

Sheffield was an expert in Western medicine too. With the combined knowledge of Chinese and Western medicine, he cured a lot of patients with knotty diseases. But, he didn't accept many cases.

No matter how much money people gave him, he refused to see any of them. So far, he had been working in Alorith First General Hospital, maintaining a low profile. He didn't want to attract too much attention to himself.

Joshua thought that Sheffield would turn down this case too, but the doctor's reply surprised him.

"How much will he pay?" Sheffield asked.

“Money is not a problem, as long as you can cure him."

“Okay. Ask him to contact me.“ Before closing the door, he added,

"Break up with my woman."

Joshua shook his head, sighing with a smile.

Evelyn was a beautiful woman with fair skin and a good figure. It was such a shame that she had given herself to Sheffield, the mad doctor.

After leaving Joshua's house, Sheffield drove back to the hospital. As he was waiting for the traffic light at a crossroad, he noticed a tattoo shop.

A bold idea came to his mind. He turned the car around and rolled up in front of the shop. He hurried into the shop and got the letters "EH" imprinted on his chest.

After that was done, he headed straight to Hilton group to see Evelyn.

The red convertible sports car came to a sudden halt. Sheffield watched the employees walk out of the company one by one.

He waited for half an hour, but there was no trace of Evelyn.

He took out his phone and dialed Joshua's number.

"Send a message to

Evelyn and tell her that I'm waiting for her at the entrance of her company. If she doesn't come down in ten minutes, I'll go and search each and every floor for her. And tell her that I will shout ‘I Love you' when I find her."

“You're out of your mind!" Joshua replied with a scoff.

Nonetheless, after hanging up, he immediately conveyed the message to

Evelyn.

When she saw Joshua's message, it was already past ten minutes. Her heart skipped a beat. Before Sheffield could really come upstairs, she hastily ran downstairs without even tidying up her work.
