Carlos snorted and walked into the bedroom again.
Inside, a middle-aged man was lying in bed. He had been silently listening to what was going on outside the bedroom. When he saw the father and daughter coming in together, he smiled and said, “Carlos, I think that young man had a dire misunderstanding."
Carlos didn't respond. He walked to the bed and tucked him in.
“He is nobody to Evelyn. What right does he have to misunderstand anything?"
Evelyn took a deep breath to argue. But Darrell Plank winked at her, and she remained silent.
"Carlos, it's the young lady's own business
It's better not to interfere. She seems happy with that man."
Carlos waved at him.
"You don't understand. It's not as simple as you think. I could never hand my daughter over to that boy."
Darrell figured that a lot had happened between them, and didn't comment on the issue further.
As soon as he walked out of the hotel, Sheffield called Joshua.
"We need to meet. Now!"
“I'm working, Sheffield. By the way, who was Evelyn sleeping with?"
“Shut up! It's normal for you to skip work. Get your ass down here. I need a drink." Sheffield was in a horrible mood after being beaten up.
Joshua was curious.
"What happened? Did you really get cuckolded? Oh wait. That's not right. She is my girlfriend. So, I was cuckolded?" Was there any relationship in the world as messy as theirs?
“Let's talk about it when we meet," replied Sheffield briefly before hanging up.
Sitting back in the car, he looked at the scenery ahead of him and got lost in his thoughts.
“Carlos' daughter...‘ He had heard of the man before, but since they had never met each other, he knew very Little about him.
He grabbed his Laptop from the back seat and opened it to investigate
Carlos.
Nobody had been able to get any information about Carlos on the
Internet before. But since he and Debbie had gotten married, much more information about him started spreading online. The news was mostly about Debbie. They seemed to love each other very much.
When Sheffield saw the name "Debbie Nelson," he paused and remembered the time when they were in Flando.
Evelyn had told him that she Liked Debbie's songs.
