"Didn't I tell you?" he asked.

“Cut the crap, asshole!" Sheffield roared, glaring daggers at him.

"I remember telling you." Ever since he had learned about it, Joshua had been thinking of telling Sheffield about it. ‘Did I forget?' “ALL right, I forgot! But what does it have to do with this? Did Carlos hit you?!" That was the only possible explanation. Sheffield would never fight back against his future father-in-law.

“Who the fuck told you that Evelyn was at a hotel with a man?"

"I saw it myself, dude! But, I was in a hurry. I called you immediately." He had only seen Evelyn enter the hotel with a man, but didn't see the person's face clearly.

As soon as his words faded, Sheffield struck him again with his fist.

“Haven't you seen Carlos before? Why didn't you recognise him? What the hell is wrong with your eyes? You got me into big trouble!"

“What? Are you saying it was Carlos with Evelyn?" Joshua asked as he blocked Sheffield's fist with his arm.

“Yes, you idiot! If it was someone else, do you think I would get beaten up Like this? You stole my girlfriend and you didn't even tell me who she really is after learning about it. You're right! From now on, I'm done with this friendship!" Since Evelyn hadn't agreed to be his girlfriend, he never bothered to investigate her family.

His original plan was to win Evelyn's heart, and then look into her family background, find out their likes and dislikes, and make a good impression on his future parents-in-law.

But now, it was all over. He went hysteric in front of his father-in-law, who already had a bad impression about him, and even punched the man in the face.

Joshua laughed out Loud, but a pain shot through his jaw immediately.

“Ouch, this hurts!" He touched his jaw, where it was swollen.

“Good. You deserve it Sheffield didn't feel a tinge of pity for

Joshua.

"Hahaha." Joshua continued to Laugh.

Sheffield glared at him and remarked sarcastically, "Oh, you think this is funny, do you? Don't forget that you are still aiming to get his little daughter. You will end up Like me one day soon."

Joshua's smile froze on his face.

“Actually, your situation is worse than mine. You're dating his elder daughter, while fantasizing about his other daughter. When Carlos finds out, he wouldn't stop with breaking one leg. He'll take your bloody life!" Joshua shuddered. This time, it was Sheffield's turn to Laugh.

Joshua was distressed.

"This is a horrible mess! Why did I even agree to be with Evelyn in the first place?" ‘What is wrong with me? How am I supposed to explain this to Terilynn?' he thought.

Sheffield took a sip of the whiskey and snapped at him, “Because you're a jerk! You knew that she was my woman, but you still approached her.

You deserve it."

Joshua sighed. He had only agreed to Evelyn's plan to take some pressure off of him from his parents.
