“That's not it. I'll work hard today. Here's the thing...
" He then drew close to Sidney and whispered something in the director's ear.
Soon, Sidney announced, “Sheffield, something came up. Take the lead on rounds this morning. Thank you very much!"
It was normal that the deputy director would be in charge of the rounds when the director was busy, so the doctors and nurses present weren't surprised.
As the smile on his face got bigger, Sheffield waved at the director and said, "Don't worry, Dr. Sidney. They're in good hands!"
After Sidney left, Sheffield quickly ran to the bathroom to wash his hands, and then Looked at himself in the mirror to tidy his hair.
He straightened his brand-new white gown and put a special ink pen in his pocket, clip out, making it obvious he'd brought that pen intentionally.
After making sure that everything was kosher, Sheffield began to make the rounds with his colleagues. What was more, he got every doctor on duty to follow him.
His goal was to make himself look cool and powerful; a leader of a large group of doctors. He wanted to impress his future mothe tars
The group was a bit too much to handle, and looked a Little disorganized. Many patients were very nervous when they saw so many doctors surrounding them to observe and discuss their conditions. There were a few who didn't know any better, and they feared their conditions were worse than they thought.
In Ward 9
Debbie was about to take off with Evelyn in tow when Sheffield stormed into the ward with a group of doctors. She didn't even have the chance to say goodbye to the patient she was visiting. She had to hold back her words and stayed in the ward a while longer
The spacious private ward was now full of people.
Sheffield looked at the woman who was answering a phone call near the window. Then his eyes met Debbie's. He put on a bright smile and greeted her with as much respect as he could muster, “Hello, Mrs
Hilton."
Debbie was stunned. She had never seen a young man so polite. She sized him up. ‘Is this handsome young man the director of this department?‘ she wondered.
Debbie smiled politely, “Hello.”
"He's got a great smile, and it doesn't look Like he's just grinning she thought.
The nurses and doctors behind Sheffield were whispering about Debbie and her daughter, and some even wanted to ask for the singer's autograph. However, they were at work, and restraint was important.
Evelyn took a glance at Sheffield and immediately noticed the ink pen in his pocket that he had conspicuously placed there. She turned around, trying to hide the smile in her eyes
Sheffield wanted to wink at her badly. But his mother-in-law was here, so he decided against it.
To avoid arousing suspicion, Sheffield also greeted the patient's family, and then asked the nurse behind him seriously, “Have you taken the patient's blood pressure this morning?"
"Yes, Sheffield. It was 190 over 110. His blood pressure is still very high, and he has been put on a drip to lower it."
Sheffield nodded and went to examine the patient himself.
The patient's family whispered to Debbie, "Mrs. Hilton, this is Dr.
