“Wait, I'm still working on my lollipop..." The candy was still in her mouth and she didn't feel like doing anything else.
However, to her surprise, he took the Lollipop out of her mouth and put it into his own. Soon enough, he chewed it up and swallowed it.
When the man threw the plastic stick into the trash can, Evelyn still sat there slack-mouthed.
The car fell into silence. She hugged the man and kissed him back.
Ten minutes later, a familiar voice came from outside.
“Hey! Wait a minute. This Looks like Sheffield's car."
It was Joshua.
“Shit!' Evelyn's eyes snapped open. She looked into Sheffield's eyes, grabbed his clothes tightly and asked, “It's Joshua, isn't it?" Her voice was a whisper, so Joshua wouldn't hear her.
“Yeah!" Sheffield also felt a little helpless, as he hadn't expected to bump into Joshua here.
Joshua took out his phone and waited.
"Sheffield must be in the supermarket. What a coinkydink! I'll give him a ring."
A couple seconds later, Sheffield's phone rang inside the car.
Both of the two people in the car were speechless.
Joshua heard the ringtone. He walked around the car and was sure that it was ringing inside. But he couldn't see anything from the outside
“Did Sheffield forget to bring his phone with him? Or is he still in the car?" he mumbled.
Sheffield tried to ignore him, but Joshua walked to the front of his car and stopped to peek inside.
Feeling dejected, Sheffield took his phone out of his pocket and swiped up to answer it.
“Hey, Joshua. Not a good time."
"So you ARE in the car." Joshua's voice was pleasantly surprised.
Sheffield closed his eyes in annoyance and shouted, "Go away!"
“What are you doing in the car? Come out and say hi. Come on, man
Maybe we could grab a meal together." Joshua started knocking on his car window.
Evelyn nudged Sheffield and whispered in his ear, "Get off me."
It felt Like they were having an affair and got caught!
Sheffield didn‘t budge.
