Evelyn got out of the cart and looked at the man, who had his back towards them all the time.
“Hey Gifford, when did you get here?" she asked. She noticed that Sheffield seemed to be quite good at golf and holed twice in a row.
Hi Evelyn. I got in last night," Gifford answered truthfully.
"Is this your client?" Joshua asked.
"Yes, let me introduce you guys." Then she turned her eyes to Sheffield and called his name.
It was not until then that Sheffield turned around, pretending he just saw her.
"Oh, it's you, Miss Evelyn. What a coincidence!"
Gifford and Joshua both pursed their lips at the same time and swore silently he should change his profession to actor.
Evelyn took a deep breath and introduced Willow to her friends.
After the small talk died down, Joshua suggested, "I love the fact we're here at the same time. Would you like to join us?"
It had to be said that he and Gifford were really doing everything they could to make Sheffield's relationship with Evelyn work.
Evelyn looked at Willow. Since she was the client, Evelyn respected her opinion. Willow was very interested in the idea. She said, “Why not? We can play against each other."
That made Sheffield very happy. He put his arm around Joshua's shoulder and said in a low voice, "Thanks, bro. I'll remember this. After Evelyn and I get married, I'll do what I can to get you and my sister-in-law together."
“Save it. Focus on your own problems. You've known Evelyn a Long time, you've even slept with her. And you still need me to come to your rescue. What the hell, man? What happened to you? You used to be a player, and now one woman throws you off? You have a handsome face. Why not use it? Such a waste."
“So you mean... I should flirt with her?" Sheffield didn't think it was a bad idea. So if Evelyn didn't approach him today, then he'd decide the issue for her.
“If it can bring you and Evelyn back together, why not? What's the harm? It's not like you're a virgin." Joshua loved his friend, but sometimes he could be really annoying. Like his brain stopped working around Evelyn.
“Oh, you're one to talk. You make it sound like you closed the deal with Terilynn.”
“We're past the first-kiss stage! You can barely bring yourself to talk to Evelyn now," Joshua bragged. His next goal was to make love to her.
“Wipe that stupid grin off your face. And see if you can charm Willow.
Leave my girl to me."
"Me? Charm Willow?"
“That's right. Flash those dimples. Win her over!"
Joshua really wanted to kick him.
"Sheffield..."
Sheffield interrupted him, "Fine. I'll do whatever you want. As Long as you don't go too far!"
