“Ugh, wish you told me sooner. I wouldn't have dragged my suitcase here."

Lilah walked out of the elevator, catching Gerard's eye.

They exchanged glances.

Ending the call, Lilah asked in confustion, “Didn't the receptionist say these rooms were soundproof? Why's it so noisy?"

"Maybe we misheard." Gerard shrugged, guilt-free. “Let me grab that suitcase. We better move before it gets louder."

"Alright, let's roll," Lilah said with a sigh.

Heading downstairs, Lilah noticed a new face at the reception.

She shrugged it off and turned away.

In the car, Gerard called Bexley. “You're good to go now."

“Thanks Gerard!" Bexley was over the moon.

Ending the call, Gerard steered to another five-star hotel.

But they were told only one room was left.

Lilah blinked in surprise. Gerard decided, “Fine, I'll take it.”

“Follow me, please," the receptionist said, leading them in eagerly.

They reached the suite, and the receptionist said, "Here's your room.

Key's here. Any questions, just hit me up downstairs. We do food delivery too. Enjoy your stay!"

"Thanks," Gerard said, taking the key and opening the door.

Lilah plopped on the bed, asking, “So, when's the company inspection, Gerard?"

"Tomorrow. I got stuff to sort today," Gerard replied.

Lilah nodded. "Cool. I'll tag along or chill here. Your call."

"You come with me," Gerard said, putting their stuff on the table and looking at her.

“Sure thing," she agreed.

Meanwhile, Bexley emptied her suitcase, trying on every outfit.

After picking one, she primped in front of the mirror, applied lipstick, grabbed her stuff, and left.
