He had simply brought Bexley here to learn, following his father's instruction.
"Gerard..."
But before Bexley could say more, the call abruptly ended.
Damn!
Bexley was close to losing her cool. From the moment she got into the car, things hadn't gone her way.
She thought winning over a man wouldn't be this tough.
Even though she used half of her skills, she discovered that Gerard remained unfazed and unresponsive to her attempts.
Bexley believed that Lilah was the main issue here.
Would things improve if Lilah were out of the picture?
Bexley was determined to see her plan through.
Later, Lilah and Gerard left the hotel and headed straight down the street.
They enjoyed the cool breeze as it gently caressed them.
There were many stalls along the way, offering a variety of items for sale.
From jewelry to snacks and games, everything was on display, catching the eyes of those walking by.
The array of jewelry caught the girls' attention, and Lilah was eager to see if there were any unique or intricate pieces.
She turned to Gerard with a grin, “Let's check out the jewelry."
"Sure," Gerard agreed.
As they got to the jewelry stand, a woman in her thirties welcomed them enthusiastically. "Miss, what piece of jewelry do you fancy?
Tell me, and I'll assist you in choosing something you'll love. We have a broad selection-bracelets, necklaces, you name it.”
Lilah perused the stand and was drawn to a delicate bracelet adorned with a small tiger. The craftsmanship was elegant, and the charm of the tiny tiger was captivating.
The stallholder smiled and said, "This bracelet is unique, and it's the last one. Would you like to try it on?"
Lilah was clearly excited. She smiled and asked, "Could you please pass that to me? I'd like to see how it looks on me."
"Of course, just a moment." The stall owner offered a warm smile as she gave Lilah the small tiger bracelet, saying, "Here it is."
Lilah tried it on and immediately loved how it complemented her dress.
