As the three stepped out of the elevator into the corridor, several department managers and the general manager hurried out to greet them before Gerard could complete his sentence.

"Good day, Mr. and Mrs. Harris!" they called out from a distance.

Drawing from past experiences, Rex spoke firmly. "This isn't Mrs. Harris. She's Mr. Harris’ secretary. Let's ensure we address her correctly."

Rex's tone grew more stern when emphasizing “address her correctly".

Everyone present was astute enough to grasp the situation.

"Mr. Harris, what did you wish to discuss?" Rex inquired, cutting to the chase.

Leading the way, Gerard mentioned two names. "These two..."

While Gerard was still speaking, a sharp cry from Bexley broke through the air.

"Ow... My foot.."

Gerard pivoted swiftly, his gaze landing on Bexley, who had crumpled to the floor, clutching her ankle in distress.

His brow furrowed in concern.

“Mr. Harris, I'm afraid I can't walk," Bexley murmured, her eyes pleading for assistance.

Just moments ago, she had heard how Rex emphasized that she was just Gerard's secretary, not Mrs. Harris. She felt humiliated.

Fuming with anger, she had stormed forward without paying attention, resulting in her sprained ankle.

Now, unable to move, she silently hoped that Gerard would help carry her.

Bexley bubbled with anticipation of this.

Gerard stood frozen, his gaze locked onto Bexley, his expression inscrutable.

Meeting his intense stare, Bexley grew uneasy.

Gerard's intentions remained a mystery, prompting Rex to urge a nearby manager into action with a nod. "Help her out."

The manager, poised to assist, hesitated as Gerard's cold command cut through the air. "Wait in the car. Don't follow me next time."

Without hesitation, Gerard marched forward.

The manager, too apprehensive to lend a hand to Bexley, could only continue onward with the rest of the group.

Watching Gerard disappear into the distance with the group, Bexley was exasperated, her fist thumping the floor with irritation. “Humph!"

One hour later, Gerard completed his rounds at the company.
