"A banquet?" Gerard echoed, puzzled by the sudden invitation.

"Yes, it's an exclusive affair," Walter clarified.

"Okay."

As soon as Gerard ended the call, a knock sounded on the door.

“Come in," he called, his gaze fixed on the entrance.

Bexley entered, bearing a cup of coffee. Meeting Gerard's intense gaze, she expressed concern. “Mr. Harris, would you Like some coffee?"

“Set it down," Gerard responded, barely acknowledging Bexley as he returned his attention to the document.

A shadow crossed Bexley's eyes at the man's dismissive demeanor.

Softly, she urged, "Mr. Harris, don't forget to drink it."

“Alright, you may leave now," Gerard muttered, his voice low.

Bexley turned away, biting her lip, and exited the room.

In the corridor, she pondered the men who had pursued her before. A faint sparkle lit her eyes.

Which one would meet her without the trappings of flowers and gifts?

ALL had adored her.

She was convinced she could make this man fall for her.

As night fell, Gerard, clad in a suit, checked his watch, rose, and left the room. He headed to the banquet venue.

When he arrived and stepped out of the car, all eyes turned toward him.

People showered him with admiration.

"Mr. Harris is a prodigious talent! At his youthful age, he has already attained remarkable accomplishments and exhibits exceptional business acumen. Truly, this young man deserves utmost respect."

"Mr. Harris’ presence at this banquet presents an opportunity. If we can cultivate a positive relationship with him tonight, it will undoubtedly bolster our standing in Eleywood for years to come."

"Let's go greet him."

The doorway resounded with their praises.

Gerard, adorned in a smart suit, possessed chiseled features and skin as smooth as silk.

Approaching him with smiles, people exclaimed, "Mr. Harris, how have you been?"
