"Alright, Lilah; then I'll wait for you," Gerard said happily.

Lilah hummed in response, hung up the phone, and drove back to the hotel.

When it came to relationships, misunderstandings and arguments were not the real issue-it was the lack of trust.

Once trust was broken, then the relationship was over.

Lilah was very pleased that Gerard decided to explain things to her of his own accord.

A short while after their phone conversation, Lilah arrived at the hotel entrance. She parked the car and walked into the Lobby.

As she made her way upstairs, she called Gerard and told him, “I'm here, heading up now."

“Okay," Gerard replied.

She rode the elevator to his floor, strolled down the corridor, and softly tapped on the door.

Gerard went to the door when he heard the knock and opened the door.

As soon as the door swung open, their gazes locked. Then, Lilah stepped forward to support his weight. “Let's go."

The closer she got, the stronger the scent of flowers. It worked like magic, clearing up the slight fog in Gerard's head caused by inebriation.

He nodded in agreement to Lilah's statement.

They took the elevator downstairs, left the hotel and drove back home.

Time flew by when one was on the move. By the time Lilah opened the door of her home, turned on the Lights and checked the time, it was almost midnight.

She turned to smile at Gerard and urged, "It's late, let's get some sleep. You have work tomorrow."

"My head hurts a bit. I'll sleep on the couch..." Gerard started to say, but Lilah shut him up with a look. "The bed will be fine."

There was no way she would allow him to sleep on the couch.

Seeing her smile made him very happy.

"Okay."

Lilah slipped into her slippers. When she approached the bed, she asked, “Would you like to take a shower first, or should 1?"

"You go ahead," Gerard replied. He was sitting on the edge of the bed, watching her.

"Okay," she replied and walked into the bathroom.

Gerard stretched out on the bed, catching a faint whiff of her perfume.
