"This picture, I've examined it several times, and it doesn't seem fake. It looks like Lilah is really involved."
But some kind-hearted netizens expressed doubt. “I've seen Lilah at the press conferences. The way she talks and behaves doesn't seem like that of someone capable of something so malicious."
“Buddy! You haven't met her in person; how do you know if that's her true personality?"
"I actually think she couldn't do such a thing," another user commented, choosing to believe in Lilah's innocence.
Almost immediately, the user who just commented in favor of Lilah had their comment drowned by the majority.
"You're so naive; you've seen too little. All kinds of people exist in society. She's disfigured someone, and you're still defending her? Fool!"
"Lilah is disgusting. How could she do such a thing to a fellow woman just because she's jealous? Lilah, come out and apologize; make it right!"
After reading through all the comments, Lilah scoffed. It seemed that Bexley wasn't ready to give up yet.
But Lilah wouldn't give in either. This attempt to smear her name wouldn't work.
Since Bexley kept attacking her like this, Lilah felt compelled to prepare a "gift" in return.
Gerard noticed that Lilah was deep in thought, her intent gaze on the tablet. He leaned over and wrapped an arm around her waist.
“Lilah, what are you thinking about?"
He glanced at the tablet, easily sussing out what the issue was after a few seconds of reading. His brows furrowed and he asked, “Lilah, do you want me to help you sort this out?"
“No need, Gerard, I can handle it." Lilah smiled at him, signaling that this wasn't something he needed to worry about. However, she was a bit curious. "Aren't you worried I might actually do something Like this?"
"I know what kind of person you are, and even if you did do it, you must've had your reasons," Gerard reassured her, his tone sincere.
Lilah's heart was warmed. Since he trusted her so much, she wouldn't take anything Bexley did to heart.
She clicked on Golden Sunshine Girl's homepage, browsing through her pictures and videos. Soon, Lilah knew what she needed to do.
This girl would be her starting point.
"I'll bring Jerrold back tomorrow," Gerard announced, his mind on other matters.
Lilah hummed in agreement and turned off her tablet. "It's about time. I miss our little one."
It had been too long. Did Jerrold miss her too?
"Gerard, I'm going out for a while." Lilah wanted to resolve this mess as soon as possible.
Gerard nodded. “Okay. Let's have spicy food tonight.”
“Okay, I'll be back soon." She wasn't particularly fussy so any dish was fine with her.
