"Of course, I will certainly get my revenge," Adaline said confidently through clenched teeth.

"Ha-ha. I'll be patiently waiting for word of your success. And make sure you take care of that other woman," the man reminded her.

"Okay," Adaline agreed.

After hanging up, she turned to the woman who had brought the phone and ordered her, “Deal with the woman in that room."

The woman nodded in understanding and left.

At the Phillips Group, Lilah was reviewing some contracts that were set to be signed when Emma knocked on the door.

"Come in," she called out.

Emma entered. "Miss Phillips," she reported, “we can't reach Miss Adelynn Vasquez by phone, and she hasn't been to work in about two weeks. What should we do?"

Lilah instructed, "If Adelynn still hasn't shown up by the end of the day, let me know. You can leave."

"Okay." Emma nodded and left.

Later in the evening, Emma called Lilah and told her, "Miss Phillips, Adelynn still hasn't shown up."

“Then get the relevant departments on it," Lilah instructed.

“Adelynn's position can't stay vacant, so make sure to release a job ad."

"Okay. Will do," Emma replied.

“By the way," Lilah suddenly said, “Adelynn hasn't been coming to work for about half a month. Why am I only hearing about it now?"

Half a month was a long period. A lot could happen within that period.

“Miss Phillips, I only got the news from the skincare lab folks,”

Emma explained. “I heard she took a sick leave because she wasn't feeling well.”

“Okay. For now, just find someone to cover for her. We'll figure out what to do when she returns," Lilah instructed.

The next day, when Lilah got to the office, the first thing she thought about was calling Emma to check if Adelynn had come.

But all of a sudden, she got a call from Emma, She answered it immediately. "So, Did you find her?" she asked anxiously.

"Unfortunately, no," Emma said. "But there's someone in the Lobby who looks just like her. She says she wants to see you."

Lilah was surprised by this. “Looks just like her?" she asked in confusion.

"Yeah," Emma confirmed. "She claims she's Adelynn's twin sister and that she has come to fill in for her."
