"Okay. Bring her up then," Lilah said after thinking for a moment.

"Okay."

Not long after, Lilah heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," she called out.

The door was opened and Emma walked in with a girl in tow. “Miss Phillips, I've brought the person," she said, presenting the girl.

“Alright, you can go," Lilah instructed. Then she turned her attention to the girl and took a good look at her. She couldn't help but notice that she really did look just like Adelynn.

"Hello, Miss Phillips," Milly Vasquez greeted her calmly.

"You say you're Adelynn's twin sister?" Lilah asked.

"Yes, Miss Phillips." Milly nodded.

“Why didn't your sister come to work? And you've come to fill in for her?"

As Lilah asked these questions, she watched the girl's face very closely, making sure not to miss any expression.

“My sister has been seriously ill recently," Milly explained. “She's not yet feeling well. She's in the hometown with our mom and dad. They're looking after her."

“Did she send you here?" Lilah asked, trying to gauge how much truth was in her words.

"Yes," Milly replied. "She asked me to cover for her for a few days. When she gets better, I'll go."

"Do you know anything about our skincare products?" Lilah asked.

"Have you done this kind of job before?"

"Yes." Milly nodded. "I studied it before. In fact, after I graduated from school, I worked at an international company in the same industry. If I was not qualified, my sister wouldn't have asked me to fill in for her."

After pondering for a bit, Lilah glanced up at the girl. Just as she was about to ask about her name, she caught a glimpse of intense hatred in the girl's eyes.

In an instant, Milly hid her feelings and asked, “Miss Phillips, is something wrong?"

Lilah set aside her suspicions for the moment and asked, “Nothing serious. What's your name?"

"I'm Milly Vasquez," Milly replied slowly.

Lilah gave a nod. "Please hand me your resume. I would like to review it."

She still felt uneasy.

Acknowledging the request, Milly took her resume from her bag and presented it to Lilah. "Here you go, Miss Phillips."
