The man's complexion whitened, his hands clenched tightly under the table from nervousness.

His silence grew heavy, prompting Lilah to ask further, "What's the matter? Lost for words?"

The journalists and the crowd began to feel a sense of suspicion, murmuring quietly to one another.

"Is there a twist we're missing here? Why can't the creator answer?"

"He can't be a fake one. If he weren't genuine, Miss Morris would see through him.”

“That makes sense!"

Karol believed the man was simply intimidated by Lilah and offered her support. “There's no need to fear. Speak up. I've assured you of support in seeking justice and your protection."

The man decided to evade the query, glancing up while attempting to remain composed. “Who can recall such events that happened so long ago?"

Lilah couldn't help but chuckle at his response.

The man, taken aback by her laughter, asked, “What's so funny?"

Did he just slip up?

“Everyone has memories they can't forget, and you're telling us you've forgotten about a major incident like your formula being stolen? Do you think that's believable?" Lilah sneered.

“How can I be expected to recall every tiny thing? It only came back to me when I saw you using my formula to create a brand," the man argued, his palms already sweating.

The crowd began to lean toward Lilah's perspective.

“He seems uncertain about his own story"

“Perhaps he did forget. It's not entirely out of the question."

"Yet, Lilah's argument seems more logical. I wouldn't forget something so significant."

Karol paused to reflect, and then sided with the man. "Lilah, why are we even bothering with all this talk? The truth is the truth. Owning up to your actions is what counts."

The man's nerves started to calm down as he glanced at Lilah and said, "Just make things right with me, add in a public apology, and I'll let it all go."

"So you're willing to drop your claims against me? Guess what, it's my turn to come after you."

The man's complexion turned pale as the words sank in.

Karol couldn't help but chuckle; the situation seemed absurd to her.

"Lilah, this can't be serious? You're accusing him of theft now? That's rich."

A ripple of bewilderment swept through the crowd before they surrendered to laughter.
