“Well, um..." the man stuttered.

"You're missing two crucial ingredients. And these are the most vital ones," Lilah told him. "These ingredients all work together even though each serves a different purpose. How can you not know that if it's really your formula?"

"Um... T I... it's..." the man stammered, unable to maintain eye contact. His Lips were already trembling and his face had turned pale.

Lilah went closer to him and told him to his face, “Without the two ingredients you missed, this formula could cause damage to the skin. Do you realize that? Now, for the last time, what are the names of these two ingredients?"

Still, the man had nothing meaningful to say.

How come there were two missing ingredients?

The man thought he had memorized everything.

Meanwhile, Karol had finally realized that the man was lying all along. He was never really the owner of the formula.

Now that it was clear that she had been played, she became very angry.

When she thought of all her plans, her cheeks turned red in embarrassment. It was as if she had been slapped hard across the face.

Having waited in vain for the man to provide an answer, Lilah finally spoke up. "Since you can't name them, I will. The two ingredients are..."

The man couldn't help but hang his head in shame when he heard Lilah speaking so confidently.

Those who had previously been eager to see Lilah get taken away for questioning had now discreetly retreated to the back. None of them wanted to be associated with their earlier accusations anymore.

“My goodness, that guy fooled us all! He's the imposter, yet he was accusing the real owner of being the thief."

“The guy is such a sleek criminal! He almost had us blaming Lilah for nothing."

"I suspected it from the beginning! Lilah doesn't seem like the type that would do something like that."

Meanwhile, Karol was still fuming at the fact that she had been completely fooled. "I trusted you so much, not knowing that you've been lying to me all along. I promise you, not only will the Phillips Group hold you responsible, I'll also deal with you!" she vowed.

By now, the man's face had turned pale with fear.

Seizing the opportunity, Lilah decided to probe further. “Who put you up to this?" she asked him.

The lead representative too added his voice. "Speak up, man. Who told you to slander Miss Phillips?"

But the man kept his mouth shut, refusing to utter any word.

At this point, two police officers in uniform suddenly entered the venue. ALl eyes immediately turned to them. “Who called the police here?" they asked sternly.

The man who was the genesis of the whole thing stood up slowly and said to the officers, "I was the one. But it's already..."

Lilah swiftly cut him off. "Hello officers, this man here was instructed to defame me and tarnish my reputation."
