The officers looked from the man to Lilah. Then one of them said to her, “What exactly do you mean? Explain in detail."

Lilah then recounted everything that had just happened before their arrival.

As she narrated the events of the last half hour or so, the imposter's face became increasingly pale and the beads of sweat that had gathered on his forehead were now pouring down his cheeks. His heart was pounding so fiercely that even his hands had gone numb.

After listening to Lilah's explanation, the officers gave the visibly uncomfortable man a cold look. "You need to come with us for further investigation."

The man began to beg Lilah for help. "Miss Phillips, please save me. I swear, I'll tell you everything I know. I don't want to go with them."

Lilah couldn't care less. "Go with the police," she told him straightforwardly. "I don't want to listen to whatever you have to say."

"No, Miss Phillips. Please save me," he begged profusely, going down on his knees and clutching her arm. "I'll tell you right now the identity of the person that sent me to do this."

But the officers had already grabbed his arms and were dragging him out of the room.

“Miss Phillips, save me!" he continued to scream as he was being dragged away. But Lilah ignored him.

After the police had gone, the room fell silent. Then, after a few seconds, someone suddenly exclaimed, "White Dew's new skincare product has caused facial necrosis in some users."

When people heard this, they quickly gathered around the person to see the story for themselves.

In fact, it was already a trending topic.

"Wow. So it's true. White Dew's skincare product is causing facial issues!"

"Just a moment ago, Miss Morris was boasting to everyone that this new skincare product would be better than the previous ones. Now, look what has happened. I'll never trust the White Dew brand ever again!"

"For crying out loud, this is downright harmful! I thought this new product would be better. But it's even worse than the previous ones. I'll never buy White Dew skincare products again in my life."

“Miss Morris, what exactly is going on? Why is this new skincare product causing this problem?" one journalist asked Karol.

Karol didn't know what to say. The only thing that kept repeating itself in her head was Lilah's warning. This made her feel so much anger toward the man that had caused her so much trouble.

"I need to understand exactly what occurred before I can make any comment," she said, quickly standing up to take her leave.

"Miss Karol Morris, you need to come with us to the station for questioning." Another two policemen suddenly appeared at the doorway.

“But why?" Karol asked in surprise.

"We've received reports that your company's product contains harmful substances. So you need to come with us right now," one of them explained.

Karol took a deep breath and shook her head. “Let me sort things out at the company first. When I'm done, I'll come," she promised.

“No, you have to come with us now," the officer insisted.

“Alright then," Karol relented with a sigh.
