As she was led away by the officers, she could still hear the crowd's insults behind her.
"She has been harming people with her products! She has to be severely punished!"
"Just now, she was so confident in accusing Miss Phillips of stealing a formula! Yet, she's the one actually guilty of wrongdoing!"
"What a rubbish brand she has. Selling dangerous products!"
Karol was filled with anger as she heard all these. Even after she had gone out of earshot, the crowd continued to shout angrily.
“Such a corrupt company needs to be shut down! But what about those who have already bought and used White Dew products? How will they get rid of the sores on their faces?" someone asked.
“Well, I'm glad I haven't bought any!"
“I'm always stuck with Botanic skincare products."
It was at this point when Botanic was mentioned that someone suddenly answered the question that was asked earlier, "Didn't Miss Phillips just say it? Missing the crucial ingredients will cause skin issues. I'm sure Miss Phillips will have a solution to it."
At this point, everyone turned to Lilah for a solution. "Miss Phillips, can you fix this mess?"
"Miss Phillips, you have a solution for this problem, don't you?"
"I always knew Miss Phillips wasn't someone like that! I'm sure she's the only one who can solve this issue since she's the brain behind Botanic."
After listening to them, Lilah calmly replied, "All those who suffered injuries from their use of White Dew just need to switch to Botanic. Our products will heal and improve the skin without Leaving any scar."
"Wow, Miss Phillips is one in a million, man!"
"As from today, if anyone tries to say anything bad about Botanic, I'll be the first to shut them up."
“I'm now switching to Botanic once and for all."
Lilah ignored all the praise and simply exited the room.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Milly was glued to the live stream of the event on her phone. Seeing the man she had sent get taken away along with Karol, and Lilah getting praised by everyone, she began to fume.
Unconsciously, she clenched her fists so tightly that her knuckles turned white.
All her plots to ruin Lilah's reputation had failed woefully.
Frustrated, she threw her phone aside.
But all of a sudden, it began to ring.
She picked it up, and when she saw the caller ID, her anger disappeared. "Boss," she said into the phone after tapping Answer.
"I stood behind you, and yet, this is what I get?" the man on the other end of the line growled.
