How could this woman be so strong? Was Lilah really a woman?
After giving her a warning, Lilah pushed Marlene away. She didn't bother checking out the suit and turned to the shop assistant, saying, “Please pack this suit..."
Before she could finish, Marlene snatched the suit away.
Lilah frowned and stated firmly, "Give it to me."
She knew the color of the suit would look excellent on Gerard.
He would look great in it.
Noticing the desperate expression on Lilah's face, Marlene sensed her advantage. Holding onto the suit, she taunted, “Why? Is this your store? I want to buy it too, and you haven't paid yet!"
As she spoke, she noticed Lilah's growing irritation and couldn't help but smirk. Turning to the shop assistant, Marlene said, "I'll take this suit. Please, the bill."
Unaware of the size Marlene needed, the shop assistant tried to assist. "Who are you buying this for? What size do you need? This size is..."
“I don't need your advice. Just tell me the price." Marlene was determined not to let Lilah have it. Seeing Lilah upset was enough to please her.
Realizing she was getting nowhere, Lilah snatched the suit back and handed her card to the shop assistant. "Charge it now."
She wouldn't hand over this suit to just anyone.
Once again, Marlene felt humiliated, fueling her anger. "Lilah, you..."
"You should remember, first come, first served." With that, Lilah headed to the door with the suit in hand.
Marlene stomped her foot in frustration and huffed out of the store.
After leaving the shop, Lilah visited other stores, picked up some ties and belts, and then left the mall.
Once back in her car, she called Gerard. "Hello, Gerard."
Gerard answered, "Lilah, what's going on?"
She glanced at the gifts and smiled. "Are you at the office?"
“Yes, I just got back."
Upon hearing this, Lilah responded immediately, “Okay, I'm coming over now."
After ending the call, she drove to the Harris Group.
She reached the top floor, stood in front of the CEO's office, and knocked on the door.
"Come in," came a deep voice from inside.
