“No need to fuss this time," Gerard said.

But Lilah was adamant. "You'll need clothes for a week. Trust me."

With that, she got up and disappeared into the bedroom to find a suitcase.

Seeing Lilah's concern warmed Gerard's heart.

In Lilah's company, Gerard found pure happiness.

After dinner, Gerard rolled up his sleeves and tackled the dishes, the clatter of plates echoing in the kitchen. Once the table gleamed, he made his way to the bedroom.

Spotting Lilah meticulously packing, Gerard curved his lips into a smile. "You really don't have to do all this. No need to tire yourself out."

"I'm not tired. We're in this together," Lilah said, sliding the last items into the suitcase. "All set. You can go shower now."

"Okay."

After the shower, they cuddled up together.

The following day dawned with a hint of chill in the air. Fully dressed, Gerard prepared to depart for the airport, where Lilah planned to drive him.

"I could ask my assistant for a lift," Gerard said.

Lilah shot him a smile. “Let me take you. Just give me a call once you've landed safely."

Upon arriving at the airport, Lilah bid him farewell.

"Remember, I'm just a call away, in case you need anything," Gerard said.

"No problems."

Lilah's smile lingered as she watched Gerard head toward the check-in.

As Lilah made her way out of the hall, a woman's voice halted her in her tracks. "Lilah, what a surprise to see you here."

Upon hearing this, Lilah lifted her head and spotted Karol entering, wearing a black overcoat.

Following her were two men in black suits.

They appeared to be her bodyguards.

Lilah didn't want to talk to her. Just as she was about to walk away, Karol called out, “Lilah, it's only been a few days and you act as if you don't recognize me?"

Lilah responded coldly, “What do you want?"

"Because of you, White Dew has suffered a significant loss. Miss Phillips, your memory seems to fail you!" Karol exclaimed, clearly annoyed.
