Laura continued to gush about her idol. “She's incredible, Lilah! My absolute favorite. I'd give anything to meet her."
Lilah smirked playfully. “Maybe you already have?"
Laura, oblivious to the hint, exclaimed, "How? Meeting her is practically impossible. Stop messing with me."
Lilah, with a loaded pause, switched gears. “Anyway, what's up? This call wasn't just about Windy, right?"
“Oh, right! Lilah, are you available next week? Could you accompany me to a class reunion?"
"Schedule's packed; can't promise anything now," Lilah replied, mentally juggling deadlines.
"Okay, I'll call to confirm," Laura conceded.
"Sure."
After the call, Lilah dove back into work.
Meanwhile, Karol, ecstatic by Cloudy's reply, eagerly inquired, "So, is Windy on board?"
Cloudy replied delicately, “Windy's swamped right now. New collaborations are on hold. But she'll reach out when things free up.”
The prospect of a personal call from Windy sent a thrill through Karol. “Awesome! I'll wait patiently. Thanks for everything."
