Laura nodded slightly, expressing remorse. “I'm sorry. Had I known earlier, I would never have brought you here."
"It's okay. Just wait for me here," Lilah reassured her, and then turned to look at Lucas.
"What? You think you can be friends with me now?"
Before Lucas could respond, Lilah's expression chilled. She punched him in the stomach and kicked his leg, declaring, “Today, you're going to learn to respect women!"
As she spoke, her blows grew fiercer.
Lucas, shocked by her strength, cried out, "What the hell..."
Lilah strode over and delivered a sharp punch to his face, causing his teeth to rattle.
"Damn it!" Feeling humiliated by a woman, he couldn't believe what was happening.
The bystanders were stunned into silence.
Meanwhile, someone discreetly called the police.
Lilah, sitting atop Lucas, continued her assault for three minutes until he pleaded, "Stop, please. I was wrong!"
With one final punch, she stood, faced him coldly, and demanded, “Apologize to Laura."
Lucas quickly complied, saying, "I'm sorry."
Satisfied, Lilah turned and walked out of the room with Laura. As they reached the door, two policemen were waiting, questioning, "Who called the police just now?"
When the police appeared at the door, everyone was shocked. Nobody knew who'd made the call.
Just as the police finished speaking, a woman's voice cut through the chatter. "I called the cops! Arrest that woman! She fought with Lucas and knocked him out!"
She was pointing straight at Lilah as she yelled.
The cops glanced at Lucas, who was lying there out cold, and then turned to Lilah. "Are you Lilah Phillips?"
Lilah nodded.
One officer said, "You need to come with us. We need to know why you hit him. Give us the details."
Then he turned to the woman who had called them. "Get an ambulance and you need to come with us to give your side of the story."
She agreed with a nod.
“Lilah, I'm going with you," Laura said, worried about her friend.
But Lilah said, “No, Laura, stay here. I can handle this."
