"Got it," Tess replied with a casual nod. "Go on, I'll handle it."

Once he was out the door, Tess swiftly replaced the prop knife with the real one in her sleeve, leaving the real one in the box.

With a smirk, she slipped out of the props room, muttering to herself, “Effie, no one's going to save you now. Your career is about to hit a wall."

When Effie returned to Lilah, the crew was already gathering. Lilah asked, "Effie, are you ready to start shooting?"

"Yeah, let's go. It's time to show off my skills," Effie said with a confident grin.

She'd nailed her last role and now she felt unstoppable.

Lilah noticed Effie's bravado and gave her a quick shoulder squeeze.

“I know you'll crush it. You've got this."

Effie nodded, a determined look in her eyes, as she prepared for her scene.

"Effie, let's get rolling," the director called out.

Effie snapped her head to the side and said to the director, "Okay."

She then gave Lilah a little smile and suggested, "Why don't you go over there? You'll get a better view."

Lilah agreed with a nod.

Effie then turned back and headed toward the director and the producer.

Lilah watched Effie walk off. Then she found an empty seat and sat down.

Right then, her phone buzzed. It was Emma calling. Lilah stepped outside the hall to take it.

“What's going on?" she asked.

"Miss Phillips, we need you back. There's a problem at the factory,”

Emma said.

Lilah responded quickly, "Got it. I'll be right there."

Hearing about the factory issue, she didn't waste a second. She shot Effie a text that read, "I must go; there's a factory problem. Good luck!"

After sending the message, she left the set.

Meanwhile, Effie got in place, glanced at her Lines, and took a deep breath.

This new role was a big challenge but it was also a fantastic opportunity to show what she could do.
