A message popped up.

“Mommy, I'm here. Send me the location," it read from Jerrold.

Lilah beamed and showed the message to Gerard.

“Let's go. No need to stay here," he said with a smile, leading her to a side door.

It had been a while since they'd seen Jerrold. He seemed to have shot up, his face still round and adorable.

Upon seeing Lilah, he bolted toward her, wrapping his arms around her legs in a flurry of cuteness. "Mommy, I missed you so much!" he cried.

Lilah's heart melted. She scooped him up in a hug. His familiar milky scent brought a wave of comfort.

“Ahem." Gerard cleared his throat, trying to catch the little boy's attention.

Jerrold giggled. "Daddy's here too. Almost missed you."

Lilah chuckled and passed Jerrold to Gerard, but the boy clung stubbornly to her neck. She held him for a while longer.

In the mall, Jerrold wriggled out of her arms and raced ahead.

Lilah and Gerard followed hand-in-hand.

Suddenly, Jerrold stopped in front of a giant screen on the third floor, pointing. "Wow, is that Mommy?" he exclaimed.

Lilah froze. It was her.

A real-time video clip, shot by Briseis and her team to promote the Taekwondo competition, was playing on the screen. Shockingly, it was the moment she expertly dodged Tiana's fierce kick on stage.

Briseis sure worked fast.

The screen was already drawing a crowd of college students and young women alike.

“Wow, that lady's amazing! So beautiful and cool," a girl gushed.

“You like some random woman over your boyfriend?"

“What do you know? She's talented!"

The couple teetered on the brink of an argument.

Out of the blue, Jerrold reached out and took the girl's hand.

Tilting his head up, he declared, "Miss, the lady you admire is right behind you."

The girl spun around, her eyes widening at the sight of a stunned Lilah.
