"Speak!" Lilah suddenly shouted at him, her face now filled with anger. Her patience was running dangerously low.

Farley was so scared that his legs went weak and his face turned pale. Still, he claimed ignorance through gritted teeth. “I don't know what you're talking about."

Lilah didn't bother talking. With an exasperated shake of her head, she jammed the toothpick into his other thigh.

Farley fell on the floor, yelling in pain.

"The next one will end up in your crotch," Lilah warned, shaking the toothpick box threateningly.

"Stop it! Stop it! Please. I'm begging you," Farley pleaded as he lay hunched over on the floor to protect his crotch.

"Then just answer my question," Lilah demanded, her face sporting a slight smile.

But her smile was actually a vicious sneer, and it sent a chill down Farley's spine.

Even Gerard was stunned by it and his heart began to race.

Farley was no sissy, but tears were pouring down his face as he cried bitterly. "It was a woman," he confessed tearfully. "I don't know her name. She only gave me a bag full of a certain powder and asked me to win against you at all costs."

A woman?

Lilah figured out the person immediately.

Pulling out her phone, she brought out Karol's photo and showed it to Farley. "Is it this woman?" she asked him.

Farley nodded enthusiastically.

"Okay then," Lilah sighed. Then she turned to Gerard. "I'll leave him to you. He must have an extra antidote."

Gerard nodded in understanding and turned to look at Farley.

The latter trembled in fear. His heart had practically gone numb as a result of his fear.

He was sure that neither Gerard nor Lilah was kind.

In fact, he was all but certain that he was doomed.

Farley dropped to his knees, displaying his vulnerability in front of a stranger for the first time.

The urge to kowtow to Lilah and plead for mercy was overwhelming.

"I... I really don't have any antidote. She gave me just one, and I already used it in advance, intending to drug you..." he said.

His gaze met hers, filled with a desperate plea for mercy. He tried to force tears to gain her sympathy, but his eyes just remained dry.

"You swear," Lilah demanded, her voice tinged with a mix of skepticism and near belief.
