“Why does this person want to have a baby with you?" Gerard looked puzzled as he sat in front of his laptop, pointing at a comment.

Lilah was confused, chewing on a piece of durian cake. "What?"

The strong smell of the durian cake spread out of the CEO's office.

Employees in the secretary's department began waving file folders to disperse it.

Gerard said, “Someone wants to have a baby with you."

Lilah didn't know whether to laugh or cry. “I appreciate the sentiment."

Gerard motioned to her. "Come here."

The office windows were frosted, preventing anyone from looking in or seeing outside.

Lilah obediently walked over to him. Gerard pulled her onto his lap, held her shoulders, and leaned in for a kiss.

"Stop..." Lilah quickly pushed his neck back, trying to keep her distance. Her breath still carried the strong scent of the durian, and she wasn't ready for a kiss.

"Ta-da! Surprise! I'm back.."

Suddenly, the office door swung open, and Effie entered with excitement.

She glanced at the other two, her smile seeming forced.

The air filled with awkwardness.

"Uh... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt. Carry on..." She backed toward the door, mumbling as she left.

Lilah hurriedly called her back. “Why have you come back so suddenly?"

Effie, still stunned from what she had just witnessed, looked at Lilah for a few seconds before turning her eyes to Gerard.

“You two seem so in love. Why not get married?" Effie pulled up a chair, sat down, and pulled a small blue gift box from her handbag.

"Lilah, I brought you a gift. It's a necklace." She shook the box slightly, the sound of the necklace tinkling inside.

Flattered, Lilah accepted the box and lifted the lid.

A gleaming blue diamond necklace caught her eye.

"How gorgeous! It's beautiful! Thank you, Effie," Lilah said with a smile.

Effie was also cheerful. Then, a realization hit her, and she grabbed Lilah's hand.

"Lilah, I had no idea you were skilled in Taekwondo. You are my idol! Remember the Taekwondo variety show I mentioned? You should come on it with me."

"No, I can't." "No, she can't." Lilah and Gerard spoke together, cutting her off.

Lilah declined because her work schedule was too packed to fit in a variety show.

Gerard, however, didn't want her to appear in public.

Lilah belonged to him. He wanted to keep her hidden.
