In this case, Gerard was clearly the cornered man now.

"Gee! You still want to scare me even at this point, eh?" Darian laughed, trying hard to hide his fear. Then he turned around, and resumed walking toward Lilah.

He didn't need to look twice at her for him to know that she was braver and more attractive than Shelia.

No wonder Gerard loved her so much. Darian couldn't help but like her too.

Lilah, initially nervous, became extremely calm in the face of the current situation of things.

She tried to steel herself to prepare for any eventuality. In the worst-case scenario, she and Gerard would die together.

This Darian Martel of a man had cornered and hurt Gerard, and it made her so angry.

Seething with rage, Lilah glared at him icily.

But the bastard only stared back at her with a nasty Look.

Great! He could take a closer look if that was what he wanted!

The next second, Lilah unzipped her coat.

Everyone was shocked.

Darian, who was closest to her, was baffled. He began to wonder if the woman was out of her mind. She had a bomb vest wrapped around her body!

“Lilah!" Gerard shouted in horror. How on earth had she come up with such a thing?

But Lilah calmly pulled out a remote control from her pocket and put her finger on a red button. “The moment I press it, you and all your men will die," she threatened.

She was very calm and looked so fearless that it was very clear to her enemies that she had no fear of death. She was like a rose in a storm, charming and yet dangerous.

Darian narrowed his gaze as he stared at her and he couldn't help but admire her strength. He stepped back a bit and clapped his hands in appreciation.

"Miss Phillips, right? You're really beautiful," he said with a smile.

"I like you a lot. You can dump Gerard and be my woman. I'll make you the most respected lady in Xylo."

Lilah cast him a disdainful glance and sneered, “Sorry, but I don't like stray dogs."

Then she took a step forward and stated firmly, "Mr. Martel, I'll count to three. Either you release Gerard and his men or we'll all die together."

Lilah had fully made up her mind at this point.

This was the only way she could think of freeing Gerard. By dragging them all into danger, it would force them to take her seriously.

Darian took another step back.
