Soon, the director called everyone's attention, announcing that the shoot would commence with the guests divided into groups, each pairing a star with a Taekwondo player.
Over the next seven days, the Taekwondo players were tasked with training the stars, alongside intensifying their own routines. On the eighth day, the groups would compete, and the winner would receive a mysterious gift.
Additionally, they were required to stay in the hotel for the entire week without the freedom to leave.
Lilah was slightly displeased by this arrangement. She had other responsibilities and couldn't afford to dedicate all her time here.
After some contemplation, Lilah decided to adapt. She had already outlined the training for the newcomer in her mind; with some initial guidance, she could focus on her other tasks.
“God, please let me be paired with Lilah or Briseis," Effie whispered fervently, clasping her hands in prayer.
At the draw, she nervously pulled out a note and, to her delight, it bore Briseis's name.
Good job!
“Lucky me!" she exclaimed, hugging Briseis jubilantly.
Watching their joyful interaction, Lilah couldn't help but smile.
Just then, Hadley approached with a slip of paper, her expression less than thrilled.
Lilah had a sinking feeling.
As feared, Hadley had drawn Lilah's name.
Ruth ended up with Malcom; the male-female pairing would make the training less exhausting, and she was quite pleased with the match.
“Lilah, it's my honor to be in the same group with you. If I've done anything to offend you previously, I hope you won't hold it against me. Let's collaborate effectively in the coming days and aim for a high rank."
Facing the camera, Hadley put on a kind and approachable demeanor. To those unacquainted with her, she might even come across as genuinely congenial.
Lilah, however, remained detached. She scribbled a few instructions on a piece of paper and handed it to Hadley. “This is your training plan."
Eagerly, Hadley took the paper, but her expression quickly fell as she read the contents.
"Lilah, what do you mean? Do I really have to practice the horse stance for several days?"
Hadley wondered if Lilah was just trying to bully her. It seemed that Lilah didn't want to teach her at all. It was a waste of time.
Maybe Lilah was using this as a chance to get back at her.
"You have no right to question me. From now on, you'll do as I say. Start now," Lilah responded, her tone icy as she moved to the corner of the venue and pulled out her laptop to work.
She pointed to a spot next to her. "Come here. Lean against the wall and start."
Hadley hesitated, looking over at Ruth, who was observing the interaction from a short distance. Ruth gave her a reassuring nod.
