Kyler, more subdued, brushed his coarse beard against Jerrold's forehead, accidentally making him cry out in surprise.

“Mommy, who are they?" Jerrold asked, his expression a mix of amusement and confusion. He sensed the two older men's kindness but found their eagerness overwhelming.

Lilah looked on, slightly helpless, as they clearly adored her son.

"Make way!" Devonte's voice boomed as he arrived on the scene, his tone tinged with irritation toward the other two men.

Caught off guard, Cyrus and Kyler stepped aside as Devonte scooped Jerrold into his arms, lifting him up and down, which sent the boy into peals of laughter.

"Sir, it's fun. I want more, more!" Jerrold's voice rang out cheerily, tinkling like a silver bell and soothing the listeners.

“Alright, Devonte," Lilah gently intervened, taking Jerrold from Devonte's arms and introducing him to the group. "This is my son, Jerrold. Could you please look after him for the next few days?"

The old men exchanged incredulous looks.

"Jerrold, remember your manners," Lilah reminded.

“Hello, sirs. It's my great pleasure to meet you," Jerrold said with a giggle, his expression cherubic.

The old men's hearts melted completely; they scooped up Jerrold and whisked him into the villa, paying no mind to anything else.

That afternoon, Lilah's phone rang with a call from an unfamiliar number.

As soon as she answered, the voice on the other end broke into sobs.

“Lilah, why haven't you been to the filming site for the show these past two days? I miss you so much..." It was Hadley, her voice filled with distress.

Lilah was torn between amusement and concern. “What's going on? Why are you upset?"

"Lilah, I... I just miss you," Hadley repeated, her voice choked with emotion.

Lilah ended the call and immediately dialed Effie for clarity.

Effie's explanation was quick. “Hadley was let go by Ruth's company. Now, she's struggling to find work, and her career is at a standstill."

Lilah's brow furrowed in concern. “What happened exactly?"

Effie recounted the incident from the previous day. "We were supposed to shuffle into new groups for the show, but Hadley outright refused to join any group without you. When Ruth personally asked her to form a group with her, Hadley flatly denied her, leaving Ruth quite embarrassed in front of everyone."

Effie added with a hint of sympathy, "I didn't expect her to be so loyal to you, but Ruth was frustrated and decided to terminate Hadley's contract unilaterally. Now, nobody wants to work with her."

Lilah understood the situation now.

“Why don't you give her Calvin's phone number and let her try to sign with the company you work for? What do you think?" Lilah took a moment before responding.

After a brief pause, Effie replied, "I know you wouldn't let that poor girl be treated unfairly. She's lucky to have met you."
