"Mr. Martel, why not let us have a bit of fun?"
Someone in the room couldn't resist suggesting having fun with Hadley.
Darian raised an eyebrow, a smirk forming as he nodded in agreement.
The thought of irritating Lilah, whom he despised, pleased him greatly.
“Girl, don't blame us for being harsh. You chose the wrong side,"
Darian said with a cold smile, his delight apparent.
A man stepped forward and released Hadley from her bindings.
She remained silent, her anger mounting visibly in her eyes.
These men were not only insulting Lilah, but also trying to violate Hadley.
“Let's get this over with quickly. I bet that witch will show up soon. And if she sees this, it'll really set her off..."
Darian's smile twisted grotesquely, his face morphing into something demonic.
Amidst the unsettling laughter, Hadley hung her head, silent and seemingly defeated.
The onlookers mocked her, assuming her quietude was due to fear.
“What a silly girl! Is there something wrong with her brain?"
“She's pretty but clearly a fool. No idea why Lilah bothers defending her."
“Yeah, she's an idiot. Looks like she's seriously messed up."
Their insults continued to rain down on Hadley.
Hadley's expression darkened.
She was no stranger to such ridicule; she had endured similar treatment in the past when she was with Ruth.
But since aligning herself with Lilah, Hadley had never faced such humiliation.
Everyone in Lilah's circle had shown her kindness. She had been taught self-defense by the elderly men, Jerrold regularly treated her to delicious meals, and Lilah had taken her under her wing, helping her secure new roles and contacts in the industry.
The urge to cry or lash out was overwhelming.
“Come on, let's have a closer look at you..."
The lewd laughter resumed.
