Lilah put the wounded Hadley down and finally stood up.

"Ooh, look at those fiery eyes! She might even eat me up, boys!"

Darian yelled while the others laughed with him, obviously finding this enjoyable. "Why do you look like you're about to avenge her? Get that useless thought out of your head because you can't get out of here alive!"

Darian spread his arms on the back of the sofa cozily as he stared at Lilah with a mocking smile.

But Lilah didn't let his taunting get to her. She gave him a nonchalant smile before jumping on him. She wasted no second to grip and tighten his neck.

Darian never saw her coming because she moved so much quicker than Hadley like a leopard left wild in the jungle.

Darian was caught off guard once again, but this time, he felt Like he would really be suffocated to death.

Lilah soon stood up and pulled Darian to his feet when his men wanted to retaliate. "Put your guns down or I'll finish him off," she growled at them.

Soon enough, Darian's face paled as air struggled to enter his chest.

He wholeheartedly thought he was dying.

Lilah loosened her grip slightly when she commanded the other men in the room, "I'll count to three. If you want to collect his lifeless body by three, hold tight to your weapons. One!"

Her voice reverberated around the room in a murderous tone.

Darian, having recovered some air, shouted through gritted teeth, "Don't!"

He knew that his men wouldn't stand a chance against Lilah if they surrendered their weapons. Given that they had driven her to the edge, she had totally lost her mind.

"Two!" Lilah continued counting in a fierce voice while retightening her grip on Darian's neck.

His tongue and eyes almost ripped out because of it, pushing further anxiety to his subordinates.

Darian looked so miserable and in pain, leaving his men no choice but to put down their weaponry.

"Good thinking," Lilah muttered, raising an eyebrow at them.

She kicked the guns under the sofa with one foot while still holding Darian by the neck.

Once everything was under the sofa, she mumbled at her collar. "Come in now."

Suddenly, the windows of the villa shattered together at the same time, blasting shards and glasses around the room Like rain.

The loud sound jerked Hadley awake. Tears immediately streamed down her face upon seeing the scene before her.

"Lilah! You're here!" she called out, sobbing. "It hurts so much, Lilah..."

She cried loudly now that Lilah was here. After all, it was only in front of her that she could do so.
