Miranda replied, a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
"Then you know there's no escape. Come with me, and I'll let bygones be bygones." Darian's tone hardened, his eyes locked on Miranda's serene face, his gaze complex.
"I never intended to run. Now that you're here, let's settle this,"
Miranda said, her expression as calm as if discussing the weather.
“Let's discuss it after a good night's rest." Darian grinned, stood up, and walked toward her. "I've missed you so much. There was even a girl who looked just like you, throwing herself at me, but I turned her down. You're the only one in my heart. Don't let my feelings go to waste, okay?"
Miranda's brow furrowed slightly.
A girl who looked just like her?
Throwing herself at him?
How absurd!
Her eyes grew icy as she raised her head to meet Darian's gaze. "You said she threw herself at you?"
Darian's expression tightened, and he awkwardly averted his eyes.
"That's not the point. Just remember, you're the only one I care about."
“Then come closer. I've got something to tell you." Miranda's Lips curled into a captivating smile, her eyes twinkling with amusement, betraying her good mood.
Darian was caught off guard. He'd never seen this side of her before.
His mind began to wander, and he was aroused.
This was one of the reasons he was drawn to her-she made him feel alive and like a man.
As he approached, he found himself mesmerized by her gaze, feeling a slight dizziness.
"Come, sit down. Let me give you a massage," Miranda offered. She stood, guiding him into a seat, her delicate fingers slipping slowly into his collar.
Darian suddenly felt this crazy warm sensation, like he was floating or something. It was out of this world.
Then bam, he passed out.
Benita strolled out of the bathroom and just shook her head at the hypnotized guy. "What a fool," she scoffed.
Miranda whipped out a packet of white powder, popped open his mouth, and poured it in.
Benita's eyes nearly popped out of her head. “Isn't that the drug you were developing that would make men impotent?"
"Yeah," Miranda snapped coldly. “He thinks he can win over my sister? I'll make sure he never looks at another woman again."
