Brenda nodded in approval.

Lilah remained silent.

After parting ways with the Harris family, Lilah met with Barth. They hadn't arrived together but had separate agendas: one to openly expand the Fearless League's branch, and the other in secret.

Barth shared that he had been in touch with the leaders of the Taekwondo Association, who had welcomed him warmly after learning he was from Luna Island and were enthusiastic about supporting his plan to establish a new branch.

“At the Taekwondo Association, there's someone named Briseis Wagner who's very friendly. You two should work together. Since they're on our side, perhaps consider offering them a few positions," Lilah suggested.

Barth nodded, visibly cheered by the conversation.

Ever since leaving Luna Island, memories of troubling events had weighed heavily on him. He was often haunted by thoughts of Arya's unhappy face, almost to the point of collapse.

Fortunately, having a purpose now helped prevent him from falling into despair.

“Barth, you don't seem yourself. Can I do anything to help?" Lilah was concerned, fearing that Barth would distance himself from her following Arya's disappearance.

Barth was deep in thought, remaining silent for a long period. It was only when Lilah gently held his wrist that he came back to the present.

"I'm okay, really. I'll handle the branch operations well," Barth said, managing a forced smile.

Meanwhile, within the Morris family estate, Karol discreetly disabled the surveillance system before entering a secret room with some food.

Absolon's father had this secret room built when they put up the Morris family estate, and hardly anyone knew about it.

Karol unlocked it with her fingerprint, and the door swung open to reveal a badly injured woman.

She and Kaden had found her by the sea, nearly dead, but her face was oddly familiar.

“Hey, how are you feeling today?" Karol asked as she stepped inside and closed the door behind her.

The woman on the bed slowly blinked her eyes open.

If Lilah were here, she would be shocked to see Miranda lying there so lifelessly, especially after parting ways not long ago.

Right now, Miranda was covered in bandages, with only her right arm untouched. Her face was ashen, which was really concerning.

"Miss Morris, you're here," Miranda said plainly, not saying much more.

Karol, looking a bit annoyed, put the meal down and raised the bed.

“Can you go over tomorrow's plans with me now?"

Each time she came here, she got more and more irritated.

What really got to her was the injured woman's face, which looked a lot like Lilah's. Every time she saw it, she fought the urge to scar that face.
