But before she could utter another word, a hand clamped over her mouth and nose, silencing her. She was swiftly dragged to the farthest corner of the bedroom.

Lilah wiped her hands with a look of disgust. "Karol, why are you so scared? Did you know I was coming for you?"

"No, no, I didn't know! What are you going to do? I'm injured-I haven't done anything to you recently!" Karol curled up on the corner of the sofa, her body trembling uncontrollably.

Lilah's eyes gleamed with amusement. “Let me jog your memory."

She was in a playful mood tonight. "A few days ago, there was a girl who looked a lot like me. You scarred her face, didn't you? You imprisoned her, tortured her, and turned her life into a living hell."

Karol swallowed hard, her eyes wide with despair. "W-what's your relationship with her?"

Lilah leaned in close, her voice low and chilling. "My mother gave birth to twins. The girl you hurt-she's my sister."

She raised Karol's chin, forcing her to look into her eyes. “Do you understand now?"

Twins? Sisters?

Karol's mind raced, her disbelief growing. If Lilah's sister was welcomed back into the Morris family, her already precarious position in the family could be completely destroyed. She could be kicked out with nothing.

“What do you want?" Karol spat, her voice trembling with both fear and defiance. “Dad won't accept her. You're both illegitimate!"

Lilah's smile faded into a cold sneer as she slowly pulled a knife from her pocket. "Why are you always so cruel?"

"What will you do?" Karol's face turned deathly pale as she stared at Lilah, the knife evoking her most painful memories.

"Relax," Lilah said, her voice dripping with mockery. "I was thinking of cutting your face, but there's no space left for that. How about I give you the knife, and you make a few cuts on your thighs? Then, I'll leave. Sound fair?"

Lilah's half-smile chilled the room, her entire demeanor like that of a grim reaper, who had come to collect souls with a cruel sense of amusement.

Tears welled up in Karol's eyes, though she barely noticed. Fear consumed her, and she trembled uncontrollably, unable to tear her gaze away from the woman before her.

"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue? You used to be so much tougher,"

Lilah taunted, waving her hand dismissively in front of Karol's face.

Suddenly, Karol's fear morphed into a desperate burst of courage. She lunged forward, grabbing Lilah's wrist and twisting it with all her strength. The knife clattered to the floor, narrowly missing Lilah's foot as she quickly stepped back.

"Go to hell!" Karol snarled, seizing the knife and thrusting it toward Lilah's chest.

But Lilah was faster. With a sneer, she deflected the blade, sending it spinning across the room until it lodged in the curtain, quivering in place.

Karol realized she was in a dangerous situation, so she hurried to the door, but Lilah grabbed her by the shoulders.

After a bit of a struggle, Karol ended up in a tough spot.

Lilah grew a bit impatient. She stopped her smile and said, "I'll give you one last chance. If you do as I told, I'll leave now. But if not, don't say I didn't warn you about the consequences."
