The crowd murmured among themselves quietly.

Outside the gate, Karol and Marlene could no longer keep their composure.

"Why is it so quiet in there? Doesn't Gerard even care?" Karol grumbled under her breath.

Marlene looked visibly shaken. "That can't be right. Any man would be furious if he discovered his wife's betrayal, especially Gerard!"

They lingered a bit longer, yet the expected outburst never came. Impatient, Marlene finally sent a text to their informant.

"I guess I'll have to stir things up myself," she muttered, a cruel smile playing on her lips.

"Thank you all for your support and generosity toward the Fearless League's branch. We'll now proceed to the raffle..." Barth announced from the stage. At his cue, a staff member brought up a large table with a lottery drum on top.

The trainees, successful in their initial tests, were invited to draw lots. They could win various prizes like souvenirs, apparel, and accessories —a token of encouragement for the newcomers.

"Next up, Hadley. Please, take your draw," Barth called out, his deep voice echoing through the hall via the microphone.

Hadley clapped her hand over her mouth in surprise.

Hadley beamed as she stepped onto the stage, filled with anticipation while she reached into the lottery box, ready to pull out a folded piece of paper.

Suddenly, at that very moment, the audience gasped in disbelief, as if they had just witnessed something astonishing.

Hadley stopped in her tracks, instinctively glancing at Barth, silently asking if her makeup had smudged.

She had become a famous actress. If anyone noticed her makeup looked off, she would definitely trend on social media again.

"Im at a loss for words. What's going on? Are they actually together?" Everyone in the crowd shifted their gaze to Lilah.

She knitted her brows, gazing at the two figures on the big screen. Who else could it be but her and Jeffery?
