Karol quickly grabbed Marlene's phone and stared at the frustrating photo on the screen for a long time.

"What's happening?" he asked, scrolling through the post.

His face darkened when he saw his photo had been edited to show Lilah and an unfamiliar man.

"Ha," Karol sneered coldly, glaring at him. The idea of him being close to Marlene behind her back made her feel frustrated and resentful.

"Why don't you ask your precious girlfriend how she managed to pull off such a dumb stunt? It's like going for wool and coming home shorn," Karol said.

Kaden frowned, noticing that Karol's tone was off.

He took her hand and said, "Didn't we agree that my relationship with Marlene was just a business arrangement for her family's company and shares? Are you upset?"

Karol yanked her hand away and turned her gaze. "What right do I have to be upset? I'm not your girlfriend."

In reality, she was just reacting out of jealousy and rivalry.

Kaden's expression finally softened. Seeing the woman he liked showing jealousy and competitiveness was, in its own way, pleasing.
