That wasn't entirely true. Hadley was actually worried that Ruth might be up to something.

Lilah sensed Hadley's concern, so she reluctantly agreed. She figured that if she stayed close to Hadley, there would be less chance of any trouble.

Before long, the two were standing in the ring.

Ruth gave Hadley a contemptuous glance and said, "I didn't think I'd run into you here again. What a twist of fate."

"Yeah, life is full of surprises," Hadley replied with a smile.

The variety show they had filmed together was now airing. Hadley's personality, so different from Lilah's, had unexpectedly captured the public's interest. Fans were charmed by her strong bond with Lilah.

On the other hand, Ruth wasn't drawing much attention. Her competitive nature on the show had turned the audience off.

That was why the company had asked her to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile lately.

When Ruth heard Hadley's words, she was suddenly reminded of the time Hadley had betrayed her, and her gaze turned icy.

"Let's get this over with," Ruth said, her face twisting into a menacing grin.

Hadley felt a pang of nervousness and glanced back at Lilah. Luckily, Lilah was right there behind her.

Ruth made her move. Her first attack wasn't very strong; she simply threw a punch.

Hadley calmly avoided it and felt a sense of relief.

The two battled for eight rounds. Ruth seemed hesitant and overly cautious, as if she didn't want to cause any real harm.

While Hadley wasn't weak compared to an average person, she was no match for a pro like Ruth.

Hadley had to stay on high alert, dreading a swift defeat. "Go to hell!" Ruth suddenly mouthed quietly.

Hadley was taken aback and instinctively tried to avoid the attack. Despite her quick move, a powerful force struck her in the chest, making her stagger back several steps.

But to everyone else, that move didn't seem very powerful. After all, Hadley didn't get thrown around.

"Be carefull!"

Lilah quickly moved to support Hadley. Seeing that Hadley wasn't looking too good, she called a halt to the match.

"Im so sorry. Are you alright? I didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't expect .." Ruth said, sounding genuinely remorseful.

"Hadley pretended to be strong earlier, but now Ruth has gotten the better of her. Maybe she's just average after all." "Was she acting? Ruth didn't use much force at all."

"That's what I think. It doesn't look like Hadley was really injured. Could she have been framing Ruth on purpose because she doesn't like her?"

The crowd murmured among themselves, treating the recent events as a bit of a joke.
