"No need to bother, " Miranda interjected, descending the stairs with her phone in hand, dressed in a refreshing water-green tracksuit.

If not for the scar on her face, she would look exactly like Lilah.

“What's up?" Gerard asked, puzzled.

"Innocence will vindicate itself, Miranda replied calmly, sipping from a glass of water. "There's no need to waste energy on trivial matters."

Just then, a maid announced Absolon's arrival.

Before Gerard could respond, Absolon had already entered.

He was truly frantic; Danna's condition had deteriorated again, even more severe than before, terrifying him. He had no choice but to come here, hoping Miranda would help once more.

But as he got a clear look at Miranda's face, he froze momentarily.

It was a face almost identical to Lilah's, except for the scar.

"Dr. Hanson, your face... " he stammered, seemingly realizing something.

Miranda waved her hand indifferently. "Mr. Morris, what brings you here?"

At that moment, Jerrold jumped down from Gerard's lap, grabbed Miranda's hand, and asked in his childish voice, "Auntie, since you're Mommy's sister, does that mean you're Grandpa's daughter too? Are you his eldest or youngest daughter?"

Miranda's face stiffened slightly.

Lilah, descending the stairs, was equally taken aback by the scene, She beckoned Jerrold over, "Sweetie, come here."

Realizing his mistake, Jerrold quickly ran to his mother.

"Mr. Morris, did Danna take the medication as I instructed?"

Miranda asked.

Absolon replied firmly, "Yes, absolutely. How could she not..."

He paused abruptly, realizing that if there was malice at play, anything could happen.

"Let's go. I'll come with you to see who's behind this, Miranda stood up, glancing at Lilah. "You should come with me too.

Together they returned to the Morris family home.

Danna was now unconscious, her face pallid and frightening, her breathing shallow and labored.

Karol was by her side, and upon seeing the two arrive, she erupted.

"Get out! You've harmed my grandmother like this and still have the audacity to show up? Get out, you pests!"
