"Would you like to know what secrets she's holding?" Gerard suddenly asked, his tone mysterious.

Lilah paused, then asked urgently, "What? Did you find something?"

Though curious, she thought that if Miranda didn't want her to know, there was no need to pry.

"I have found some things, but you need to be prepared, Gerard warned. Lilah's brow furrowed.

"Is it something good or bad?"

"Your sister might seem cool and untouchable, but she's actually a romantic idealist, Gerard said, sounding a bit resigned.

Lilah frowned deeply. How could that be?

"Explain yourself, " she demanded.

Gerard handed her a stack of documents. She quickly glanced at them, disregarding any concerns about invading Miranda's privacy.

She thought if it could help Miranda, it was worth it.
