In that fleeting moment, she caught sight of a tall man standing up and leaving.
As he stretched out his hand while on a phone call, Lilah noticed the button on him-an identical one.
Her eyes widened in surprise.
She quickly followed him and sent a message to Miranda, asking her to come out too.
"Yes, Ken, I'm at a party with many beautiful girls. Later..."
The man was saying as Lilah followed him into the Sanderson family's back garden. Miranda soon joined her.
The two hid behind decorative garden rocks, listening to the man on his call.
Miranda's expression grew increasingly grave, leaving Lilah puzzled.
"What's going on?" she whispered intensely, almost a hiss.
At that moment, a strange, overpowering scent enveloped them, and before they could react, both were overcome by the scent and passed out.
The man approached, silently observing the two unconscious women with a puzzled expression.
Lilah was the first to wake up, finding herself in a large underground cage. There were at least dozens of such cages, with Miranda beside her, still unconscious.
Lilah quickly went over, banging on the iron bars to try and wake Miranda.
Just then, two men dressed in black entered, dragging a girl nearby and stripping her of her clothes before taking her away.
The girl sobbed quietly, offering no resistance, as if she had ho strength left to fight.
The other girls were also crying.
Soon, two more men in black started selecting from the cages, quickly taking another girl away.
Lilah felt a chill down her spine. Just then, her worst fear came true.
One of the men in black stopped beside Miranda.
"Is she new here? Perhaps she holds more value than the others."
Holding a notebook, the man in black waved his hand expressionlessly, and two others immediately opened the cage, advancing toward Miranda.
Lilah burst out, "Stop!"
Her voice was piercing, stunning everyone into stillness.
The man turned to scrutinize Lilah, momentarily frozen upon seeing her face, but he didn't change his mind.
