Antrel's eyes widened with terror, as deep as the ocean.
"Jennifer, she should be in Starvale recently. I contacted her a while ago, and she said she was going to help someone with something," Antrel cried out in pain.
Starvale.
Coincidentally, Gerard was there too.
"Then you better come with us, " Lilah said, patting Antrel's shoulder." You'd best hope you're telling the truth, or you'll pay the price."
Antrel was desperate beyond tears. He felt he was already paying the price.
Meanwhile, in Starvale, it was a night of chaos and conflict.
Despite being trapped, Gerard stood with unyielding composure.
He stood calmly, hands behind his back, eyes indifferent as he faced the overwhelming crowd.
This was the Martel family's revenge.
They had mobilized their entire forces, setting a trap into which he willingly walked.
Gerard was unafraid; he had already devised a plan.
"Mr. Devin, I didn't expect you'd ever be this desperate, " he remarked, looking coolly at the leader of the opposing force, a blond man sitting in an off-road vehicle.
Devin was Darian's father and the head of the Martel family.
His son had been rendered infertile by a group of women, a fate worse than death.
Since learning that Gerard was behind it, Devin had been consumed by rage, disregarding all business ties in his quest for vengeance, willing to sacrifice everything.
Now, his wish was on the brink of fulfillment.
"Mr. Harris, I hope you'll still be able to speak like this in a moment," Devin said, stepping out of the vehicle.
Gerard remained utterly calm, tilting his head with a smile.
"I certainly will."
Devin sneered, signaling for a line of snipers to aim their guns at Gerard.
At that moment, a clear female voice rang out: "Mr. Devin, please have them lower their guns."
Gerard was taken aback, instinctively looking towards the voice.
A woman wearing a mask and sunglasses stepped out of a car and walked over.
