The weather was overcast, the air thick with humidity, a foreboding sign of an impending storm.

The funeral was solemn yet understated.

Everyone donned black attire, standing silently as they listened to the priest's calm yet mournful eulogy.

Lilah stood at the forefront of the crowd, her gaze lowered, staring quietly at her toes, her expression deeply sorrowful.

Gerard stood beside her, his face equally somber.

"Have you noticed anything unusual?" Lilah asked impatiently, lowering her voice.

Gerard discreetly tugged at her sleeve, urging her to stay calm, assuring her that the awaited moment would come.

Just then, a black car slowly pulled up not far away.

Against the gray sky, the vehicle seemed particularly conspicuous.

Lilah's keen instincts sensed something amiss. She glanced over, but the distance made it impossible to discern who was inside.

As the funeral neared its end, Jeffery approached with an urn, his face full of grief.

Lilah stepped forward to receive the urn and slowly walked toward the tombstone.

At that moment, she noticed the car door opening, and a slender figure stepped out.

However, the person wore sunglasses and a baseball cap pulled low, obscuring their face.

A cold smile played at the corners of Lilah's lips.

She took a couple of steps before deliberately stumbling, sending the urn flying. Amidst the shocked gasps of the crowd, the urn crashed to the ground, scattering white ashes everywhere.

"Barth!" Lilah exclaimed fearfully, quickly crouching down, trying to gather the white ashes back into the urn.

"You fool, move aside!" A sharp female voice rang out, unmistakably Arya's.

She approached with a gun, frightening everyone into silence.

"Lilah, do you have a death wish?" Arya fired a shot into the sky, the loud bang startling the nearby seagulls into a frenzy.

Lilah remained silent, fixing her gaze on Arya.

Their eyes met, and Arya saw the hatred in Lilah's eyes.

Arya smirked coldly, her lips curving up, “Hahaha, Lilah, you wretched woman, even you have moments of such miserable suffering. It seems I've done quite well this time. I'm amazing, hahaha... "

Arya seemed to have lost her mind, pointing at Lilah, ridiculing her helplessness.
