Yesterday, Lila had seemed fine, but now she was inside the grave, sitting inside the grave, methodically sealing it with bricks.

Lilah couldn't fathom how Lila could do such a thing under these circumstances. Her mental state was beyond comprehension.

"Lila, what are you doing? Come out!" Lilah didn't hesitate, running over and crouching down, attempting to pull Lila out.

Unexpectedly, a stick suddenly appeared, prodding her.

Lilah hesitated for a moment. The action hadn't hurt her, but it made her realize Lila's determination to end it all.

"Get away from me! If you ruin my plan, I'll take you all down with me!" Lila's voice was sharp, filled with a chilling menace.

Lilah glanced at Gerard, who looked equally helpless, but neither had any intention of giving up.

"I'm sorry, but we're here to take you home today." As Lilah spoke, she crouched down and looked through the small opening at the elderly woman inside, who had completely lost hope and didn't care about herself anymore.

"Ms. Lila, don't be like this. Once you're gone, there's truly nothing left, " Lilah sighed, reaching her hand out.

Lila, in a fit of extreme anger, suddenly grabbed Lilah's wrist and bit down hard.

The searing pain almost made Lilah's whole body convulse. At that moment, Gerard seized the chance to kick open the bricks of the grave, and Lilah pulled Lila out.

Lila was nearly hysterical, watching helplessly as the grave she had painstakingly dug was destroyed, her eyes filled with rage.

"Get away, get away, you troublemaker! What exactly do you want?

I've never wronged you, so why are you doing this to me?"

Lila glared at Lilah with gritted teeth, her entire being exuding an intense hostility.

Lilah pressed on the wound at the base of her right thumb, holding back the pain, and said helplessly, "Madam, if you come back with us peacefully, we promise to treat you well and not let you live like before."

But in that instant, as Lilah Looked into those murky, fearsome eyes, she suddenly felt lost and unsure if what she was doing was right.

She could take Lila's body away, but not her heart.

Perhaps, in Lila's eyes, she was already dead, buried in this muddy ravine.

Let's just get this over with.

Given the situation, they decided to take her back first and at least get her treated.

Lila stubbornly refused to go down the mountain, so Lilah grabbed both her hands and, with Gerard's help, carried her down.

To avoid any delays, Lilah gave Lila some sleeping pills. Once she was asleep, they drove through the night to Eleywood.

"Is your hand okay?" Gerard asked, glancing at her through the rearview mirror.
