"Absolon, we're in our forties, almost fifties now. Some things, no matter how important, shouldn't come before your health. Do you really want to keep wallowing for someone who doesn't even care about you? This isn't the Absolon I know."

Alivia smiled gently, her voice was as soothing as a gentle spring breeze, bringing comfort and ease.

Danna sat quietly to the side, particularly satisfied with this potential daughter-in-law.

If only...

If only Alivia still wanted to be with her son.

Absolon's gaze wandered, as if his mind was elsewhere, paying no attention to her words.

Alivia's expression faltered slightly. She glanced at Danna, who understood and offered a faint smile.

"Absolon, I think Alivia is right. You've always been good at everything except judging people. If you had been with Alivia back then, things wouldn't be like this now...

"Mom!" Absolon suddenly looked up, interrupting Danna sharply, his gaze cold and sharp.

Her face froze, unable to speak for a long moment.

After a while, the two women left the hospital room.A wave of disappointment passed through Alivia's eyes, and she smiled bitterly.

"I never thought, despite all these years that have passed, Absolon would still be hung up on that woman. I can't understand what makes Joselyn so special that she's got him so bewitched." Danna snorted, "What's so great about that seductress? She's just got alluring features.

She and her daughters are all the same. Alivia, you know I've always liked you and wanted you as my daughter-in-law. It was Absolon who didn't know better back then. If you still have feelings for him, I can help you."

Alivia's eyes lit up, but she modestly lowered her gaze.

"Auntie, let's talk about this some other time."

After saying goodbye to Danna, she got into the car heading back home.

On the way, she searched online for everything about Joselyn, only to find that apart from running a cosmetics company, there wasn't much extraordinary about her.

Cosmetics, perfumes.

Alivia's lips curled slightly as a plan formed in her mind.

The next morning, during breakfast, Lilah overheard two maids chatting about how the Kuskeongan cosmetics brand "Eisneech" had opened a branch in Eleywood and was currently in its trial phase.

Lilah knew this store was Joselyn's venture but hadn't expected her to be so skilled. In less than half a month, the marketing had already spread the word about the new branch's opening.

"Saylor, do you like the Eisneech brand too? What products do you usually use from them?" Lilah asked casually.

Saylor smiled, "Madam, I like their hand cream. It's relatively affordable. Their perfumes are the most famous, but I can't afford them."

Aunt Gia, nearby, was also curious, "Are Eisneech's products expensive? Are they any good?"
