The other bodyguards then jumped in. By this time, Livia had swallowed several mouthfuls of water and passed out, sinking completely.

Her legs were tightly entwined with the weeds, and it took an all-out effort from several people to free her.

Grandma Brenda hurried over upon hearing the news, first embracing little Jerrold and crying before going to Livia's room.

"Miss Livia is fine, just a bit shaken and possibly running a slight fever, said the attending doctor, Grandma Brenda's personal physician, known for his exceptional skills.

Everyone in the room finally breathed a sigh of relief.

But who could have expected that Livia would remain unconscious for two days?

"Livia needs to build her strength. She'll need more nourishment and exercise in the future, " Grandma Brenda sighed, gently dabbing Livia's face with a damp cloth.

Lilah sat across from the bed with little Jerrold, who rested his chin in his hands, gazing at the person on the bed. Though silent, it was clear he was deeply worried.

"What's wrong, baby?" Lilah noticed her son's low spirits and patted his little head.

Little Jerrold hugged Lilah's waist. "Mommy, Livia got like this saving me. I'm scared she won't wake up."

Lilah found herself at a loss whether to laugh or cry. "Don't worry, Sister Livia just swallowed some water. We have so many people here with her; she'll be fine."

"Let me try, " Miranda said as she entered the room, followed by Cason and her stepsister, Justina.

Cason accompanying her was understandable; they were an engaged couple, and it's natural for them to be all lovey-dovey. But what was Justina doing clinging to Miranda all day?

Lilah was somewhat puzzled, sensing that Justina seemed to have a particular focus on Miranda.

"Could you please step out? She's a patient, why are you tagging along?" Cason looked at Justina with irritation, his expression clearly annoyed. Lilah observed this and felt even more confused.

Taking advantage of the moment when Miranda was performing acupuncture on Livia, she used the excuse that others shouldn't disturb them to lead Cason and Justina out of the room.

Justina, however, lingered outside the room, occasionally standing up to peek through the door crack, looking very concerned.

"What's going on with you two?" Lilah couldn't help but frown.

Cason immediately showed a vexed expression, waving his hand, "Big Sis, that Justina is nothing but a manipulative girl.

She's driving me crazy, always following us around. Last night, she even tried to sleep in our room!"

"What?" Lilah was taken aback. “How is that possible? Everyone knows about your relationship with my sister. How dare she try to steal my fiancée's affection?"

"It's me, Big Sis, she's trying to steal my fiancée's affection.

I feel like she's up to no good. It's like she's a persistent shadow, wanting to cling to my fiancée every second of the day.

It's infuriating!"Cason gritted his teeth, looking thoroughly displeased.
