"What happened to you?" Joselyn noticed something was off and turned to look at her.

Lillie quickly bent down to pick up the largest shards. "I-I'm fine...

Everyone in the room could sense the tension. They all had a sense of what was going on.

Joselyn immediately stood up, grabbed Lillie's wrist, and said to Lilah, "Lilah, I need to talk to her. We'll step out for a moment."

With that, she forcefully led Lillie away.

"It seems Aunt Joselyn has noticed something unusual about Lillie's behavior, " Lilah spoke calmly, pondering if Lillie was the mastermind, and if so, what her motives could be.

After all, Lillie had no grievances against Miranda.

"Tell me clearly, what is going on? Why did you do it?" Joselyn brought Lillie into an empty room next door, unable to suppress her low, stern voice.

Lillie was so frightened that her lips trembled. It was the first time she had seen Joselyn so severe, and she was at a loss for words.

"Two weeks ago, you went out and brought back a cake for me, saying you bought it at the New City International Shopping Center. Do you want to go ask Gerard if that's the same mall Justina went to?" Joselyn questioned coldly.

Lillie panicked instantly, her eyes reddening and tears welling up.

"Mom, it wasn't me. I didn't mean to. I just wanted to experiment, to see if it had any effect. I really didn't know this would happen... " Lillie's voice trembled as she clutched Joselyn's hand, utterly at a loss.

"How do you know about hypnosis? What exactly are you trying to do?"

Joselyn's eyes were filled with disappointment as she looked incredulously at her usually indulged daughter. In that moment, she suddenly felt that she had spoiled her too much.

Look at Lilah and Miranda, both of whom are independent and capable. Lillie is already twenty, not much younger than her two older sisters, yet she spends her days delving into useless things. That would be fine, but now she's gotten herself involved in something completely out of line, which is simply beyond comprehension!

Without hesitation, Joselyn turned and shared the clues with Lilah, sincerely apologizing for her daughter's mistakes and promising that Lillie would be punished.
